A vacancy for a Head Of Big Data has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse.
Airbus started its Digital journey. The objective being to transform the company and to prepare it for the future. This transformation includes new global governance, new ways of working and the implementation of the implementation of digital business services and platforms managed by Airbus Digital Accelerator organization.
One key component of this Digital Transformation is the implementation of solutions to enable the data-value chain in Airbus and its Division and to make the best use of Data in Airbus, whether to optimize our business processes or to create new business values via data monetization.
The data-value chain encompasses solutions to create, capture, connect, ingest, transport, process, expose and visualize data, data coming from Airbus, Customers (Airlines), Suppliers and in-flight data (Aircraft).
In that context the Head of BigData is in charge and accountable for the end-to-end delivery of the BigData services and platforms inside Airbus and its entities.
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
• Define the service, strategy and adoption of the big data solutions within Airbus. Evangelise it adoption across IT and business stakeholders across Airbus, using concrete examples and data to demonstrate the enhanced agility and benefits
• Define and build and maintain a value aligned roadmap for the strategic prioritisation of initiatives and capability.
• Establish fit for purpose and rapid governance for prioritisation business initiatives.
• Build internal teams and expertise in big data, product ownership and agile ways of working. Adopt client value driven centric approach.
• Build BigData consulting service that enables projects to onboard easily and quickly.
• Reporting on the value created/enabled by the team quarterly.
• Creating buy-in for the product vision both internally inside ICT, with our major stakeholders and internal customer and potentially with external partners such airlines and suppliers
• Developing product pricing (e.g. cost model and funding principles) and positioning strategies
• Translating product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
• Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow the product positioning, improve customer experience and drive growth
• Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
• Work closely with teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
• Define and manage the operating model and supplier strategy
• Drive product launches including working with executives, and other product management team members of the Digital Accelerators
• Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
• Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
• Manage the product management teams and Lead the product management teams towards high performance standards and customers satisfaction
• Coach team members in order to support their development and their performance
• Be accountable for the stakeholders management around the product management teams including budget, prioritization, escalation, demand management, sponsors & customers relationship management, value creation.
• Ensure proper alignment of product strategy and operating model with ICT strategy and choices
• Promote transformation values and encourage new and innovative way of working to improve delivery of value performance
• Manage and ensure continuous Innovation and ensure innovation is embedded in the Product Development plan
• Work with other ICT domains/business or end-users in MFT (multi-functional team) mode to support the delivery of other products and services using this technology platform--
