Airbus Group A vacancy for a Safety Engineer has arisen within Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in Filton. You will join our prestigious team within Fuel and Landing Gear. Working within a transnational work environment, you'll act as the focal point for A350 and A380 fuel and landing gear and play a key part in our design office team supporting activities across the landing gear and fuel teams. You will be responsible for working with multiple stakeholders to produce safety deliverables in support of on-going New Product Introduction activities and support of existing project Safety case documentation. You'll also be responsible for managing the safety deliverables which are handled by the UK safety group for A380 and A350. This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include: - Managing the safety and reliability activities of the department for specific Aircraft programmes - Identifying tasks to be performed, both within time and to budget - Interfacing with the network of system safety specialists and specific Site Coordinators to drumbeat deliverables and follow up the harmonisation of all site systems safety and reliability activities and deliverables - Deployment and the assurance of safety policies and methodologies application - Consolidation of safety V&V activities at system level - Managing transverse inter-site system safety issues - Representing the department on the Safety Committee and in EASA certification meetings - Manage the sub contract work-package on a given area - Responsible as the safety specialist is in charge of functional safety activities and Zonal Safety Analysis (ZSA) on Wing, Landing Gear and Fuel This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.-- To apply :
